TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR SHOOTING LETS

Please note that whilst we use our best endeavours to keep this website up-to-date, prices may be subject to change and availability requires to be confirmed by Bowlts prior to any booking being confirmed.

How to Make a Booking

Within each let being offered, you will find a link titled "download property details". This link allows you to download a detailed brochure for each individual shooting let. You will also see a schedule of availability for each let and pricing throughout the year. Once you have made your choice, you can, buy pressing the "book now" link, send us an email detailing which dates you are interested in. We will then contact you to confirm availability and subsequently will issue you with the relevant documentation to be completed.

Alternatively, you may telephone us on +44 (0)1343 890400 and one of our staff will be more than happy to assist you in making a booking.

Payment

Once Bowlts have confirmed availability, a non-refundable deposit is required in order to confirm your reservation. Once the deposit has been received, together with a completed booking form, a letter of confirmation will be issued. The balance is payable no later than six weeks prior to the let commencing. In the event that you are booking within six weeks of the start of your visit, payment in full is required with your booking. Please note that all cheques should be payable to the individual/business detailed on the confirmation letter. Cheques should not be made payable to Bowlts.

Detailed directions and instructions will be sent out with the final invoice.

Cancellation

Please be advised that any monies owed are payable, irrespective of cancellation. You are therefore advised to insure against cancellation. However, in the event that you have to cancel your booking, Bowlts will use their best endeavours to re-let and, if successful, will make a full refund, less an administration charge and any other expenses incurred in re-letting. Therefore, it is important that you advise of any cancellations as soon as possible, both by telephone and in writing.

Complaints

In the unlikely event of a complaint arising with the let, you should make immediate contact with the owner/caretaker so that there is the possibility of having the problem resolved immediately. Nevertheless, if there were a serious complaint, we would ask that you inform Bowlts as they would wish to take every step to ensure you enjoy your visit.

Deer Stalking Conditions

Whilst every estate has its own particular conditions to which all guests must adhere, the following is a general guide.

Estate Stalkers

Stalking will usually be undertaken under the supervision and direction of the stalkers or a nominated representative. The estate stalker's decision is always final.

Firearms and Ammunition

All firearms used by guests must comply with Deer (Firearms, etc) (Scotland) Order 1985.

Accuracy and Safety

Guest stalkers may be required to demonstrate that they are competent in the safe use of a firearm prior to stalking taking place.

Insurance

All guest stalkers will be required to provide their own personal liability insurance and to insure their own property during their visit.

Booking Terms and Conditions

It is important to note that Bowlts act only as agents for the owners of properties featured on this website. The hiring contract is between the guest and the owner. The receipt of a completed booking form and/or payment of a deposit is treated as a firm booking and, if accepted, the guest becomes liable for the full balance of charges which are payable six weeks prior to the commencement date. It is important to note that non-payment of the balance of hire charges by the due date will result in Bowlts treating the vacancy as being available for re-letting.

Bowlts have taken every care to ensure the accuracy of the descriptions and all information is given in good faith, but Bowlts cannot be held responsible for changes beyond their control, nor can they be held liable for any act, neglect or default on behalf of the owner, resulting in loss, injury or accident caused to the guest.
