Have your say on development opportunities in the Inshes and Raigmore area of Inverness.

All comments should be received to Highland Council no later than Monday 27 October 2014.

Comments received during the public consultation will inform the finalised development brief. 

Background

Highland Council currently preparing a development brief and related proposals for improving the local transport network in the Inshes and Raigmore area of Inverness.

The development brief will seek to address challenges and opportunities in the area including:

The delivery of increased capacity on the local transport network to relieve congestion and accommodate future development by the delivery of Inshes Junction Improvements Phase 2

  • A solution to reduce flood risk associated with the Dell Burn
  • Links with Transport Scotland’s A9/A96 Connections Study
  • Improved walking, cycling and public transport connections
  • Enhancement of green networks
  • Completion of the existing Inshes Retail Park
  • Integrated and sustainable expansion of Inshes Retail Park
  • Enabling business development at land south of Police Scotland

Comments received on the related Inshes Junction Improvements Phase 2 project will be considered at the next design stage.  This will be progressed following Transport Scotland announcement of a preferred route for the A9/A96 Connections Study.

RURAL PRACTICE CHARTERED SURVEYOR AND TRAINEE CHARTERED SURVEYOR POSITIONS

Due to an increasing workload, we are looking to expand our rural practice department. Our office is based at Pluscarden, near Elgin, Moray. We currently have a staff of 15 and our core activity is property consultancy and rural estate management.

We are currently accepting applications for both a Rural Practice Chartered Surveyor as well as a Trainee Chartered Surveyor.

The successful applicants will join our rural practice team, which consists of four fully qualified land agents. Both positions are full-time, working Monday to Friday, and salary will be negotiable depending on experience.
