Alastair has worked with Bowlts since 1993 and is responsible for management of woodlands throughout Scotland.

As the senior forester within the Bowlts team, Alastair oversees Bowlts forestry services including the ongoing design and implementation of forestry projects  both for existing and new  clients . The changes to the funding of forestry through the Scotland Rural Development Programme (SRDP) is already bringing  many challenges regarding the funding of  woodland projects.  However, Alastair and his team are very much looking forward to identifying  further funding  opportunities under this initiative.

In addition to existing clients, Bowlts forestry team is now attracting an increased consultancy work load, including preparation of Forest Plans, woodland valuations, timber certification and specific advice regarding trees in an urban landscape.
